Teen Accidentally Invites 21K People To Her Home
A teenager in England intended to invite only a few close friends to her 15th Birthday party, but ended up with 21,000 Facebook RSVPs, the vast majority complete strangers. Rebecca Javenleau published both her home address and phone number on the invitation, but made the mistake of making the event public on Facebook. The party scheduled for October 7th, has been cancelled and local police are on high alert in case thousands of party goers decide to show up at Javenleau’s home.

Twitter Gets Hacked
Twitter was the victim of a major security attack on Tuesday that caused third-party websites to pop-up if a user simply moused over a link, which included pop-ups to Japanese porn sites. Twitter was able to fully patch the glitch that troubled thousands of users and doesn’t believe that the personal data of users was compromised.

Nokia Delays Release of N8 Smartphone
Nokia is making some adjustments to their long anticipated N8 smartphone and will delay the delivery a few additional weeks. According to Nokia, preorders for the N8 are exceeding expectations and the company has already lined up over 100 wireless operators to carry the phone. Nokia stated that the delayed release will “ensure a great user experience.”

Using Andorid like “Peeing In Your Pants”
In other Nokia news, the outgoing head of Nokia’s smartphone division, Anssi Vanjoki, made a statement that using the Android OS is like “peeing in your pants” to keep warm, a rather strange and colorful metaphor. Vanjoki’s comments are meant to illustrate his concern that the adoption of the Android OS by smartphone manufacturers is only a temporary solution and won’t bring long-term profits to manufacturers.
