Barnes & Noble announced an update to the Nook Color that will allow it to run a version of Android’s FroYo operating system. The update will add a Nook app store with specifically designed apps, runs Flash and has an improved email client. The new features and low cost make it a formidable tablet choice. In other news, the advent of the DVR transformed how audiences consume television and soon, how networks charge advertisers. Networks are finding that when DVR views are factored in, shows’ ratings can change drastically. Getting the advertisers to agree to new terms will be the tricky part. And finally, if there weren’t enough ways to share on Facebook, the company has rolled out another. You will now start seeing “Send” buttons which allow you to share a link with specific friends or groups. Within Facebook, you can use the feature for polls and questions, too.
