LCD Makers Settle in Price-Fixing Case

Samsung, Sharp and five other makers of LCD screens agreed to pay a settlement over $553 million for price-fixing LCD panels. The lawsuit alleges that these companies violated antitrust laws by illegally inflating the prices of liquid crystal displays between 1999 and 2006.
