A new Nielsen report shows found that Google’s Android has the largest mobile market share at 39%. While Apple’s iOS is only 29% of the market, Nielsen doesn’t account for the tens of millions of iPod touch and iPad users. Android may be on the most phones, but Apple still manufactures more devices. In other news, Photoshop can turn even the most unfortunate face into a centerfold lookalike, but the U.K.’s Advertising Standards Authority doesn’t think it belongs in magazines. The group pulled two L’Oreal ads of Christy Turlington and Julia Roberts, citing that its claims of beautification were digital fabrications. And finally, the Motion Picture Association won a lawsuit that forces the U.K.’s largest ISP to block a popular website for sharing copyrighted videos. While a victory for Hollywood, ISPs and lawmakers can’t agree on who has the ultimate authority to control content on the web.
