After eight months of development, the popular iPhone photo filter app FilterMania just got a big upgrade, its developer Dropico Mobile announced today. Now known as FilterMania 2, it includes several improvements, including the addition of a ‘Filter Market’ in which users will find over 300 free new filters. That’s obviously a much larger number of effects than the ones offered by Instagram – which is a good thing for FilterMania 2, as it would otherwise be hard to compete against such a giant (not to mention Facebook looming in its shadow).
