Google is now accepting pre-orders for books on its store. The pre-order addition was first exposed in an APK teardown of the new Play store by Androidpolice and they’ve since gone live. The pre-order procedure now has its own help page here, which details ordering, cancellation and more. There are already titles in the store that have the new pre-order button, rather than the standard ‘buy’ option. The Death of Bees, for instance, is due out on Google Play in January of 2013.
