You’ve had almost three weeks to play with your iPhone 5 and try out all the new features of iOS 6. Everyone knows the new Apple Maps stink – just ask Apple CEO Tim Cook, who issued an apology on the subject. An apology doesn’t help you get where you need to go, though. You know what does? Google Maps. What’s even better is it’s simple to get Google Maps on your iPhone 5. First, in the Settings app, make sure location services are enabled for both Maps and Safari. Then, open Safari app and go to maps.google.com. Say it’s OK for the site to use your current location, then tap the Share button on the bottom of the screen. Tap “Add to Home Screen” and, just like that, you’ve got Google Maps on your iPhone 5! To get the most out of it, make sure you sign in to Google using the drop-down arrow in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
