The year of social media just keeps on truckin’. On Tuesday night, President Barack Obama was re-elected for a second term after he hit the magic number of 270 Electoral College votes. That wasn’t the only Obama-related number of significance from Tuesday night, however. Obama’s “Four More Years” tweet almost immediately became the site’s most retweeted tweet ever, with almost 700,000 retweets as of noon yesterday. His victorious Facebook post was the most liked photo on the site ever, with nearly 3.5 million likes in the same timeframe.
