CES 2014 Self-Guided Tour Exhibitor: Bandshell

Bandshell

BandshellBandshell is a new case for your iPhone 5, 5S or 5C that goes where no case has gone before: it features battery- and cord-free amplification that improves sound volume and quality anywhere.

The Bandshell secret is a patented retractable sound door. The fashionable case effortlessly transforms when the sound door glides from the back of the case. This curve enhances the acoustics of the iPhone’s internal speaker – just like how a well-designed bandshell or concert hall magnifies the sound of live music.

The Bandshell kickstand lets the iPhone to stand on its own, giving an easy widescreen view of album covers, video, TV programs, news videos and more. Without Bandshell, you usually have to hold the iPhone or prop it against something to view the screen at the proper angle.

Bandshell also provides a convenient way to host conference calls – it can be used hands-free and will project voices to everyone in the room making it easier to hear everyone. Making live recordings is better using Bandshell, too, because its design lets you capture sound better.

The Bandshell’s inner shell is made of a non-scratching silicone gel that provides a smooth feel and comforting appeal. The outer case – which comes in nine colors – is made of a durable polycarbonate that gives the iPhone superior protection from falls, bumps and handling. The inner and outer cases mold together to provide a one-piece construction, and its raised bezel protects the screen.

Bandshell is only available for iPhone right now, but the company is working on bringing it to other mobile devices, too.
