U2 and Apple

Apple is working with U2 to develop a new music format that is designed to tackle piracy by making digital downloads of albums and songs a more attractive proposition, according to TIME magazine. U2 frontman Bono told TIME that he was optimistic the new digital music format will prove so ‘irresistibly exciting’ that it will lure them away from the all-too-easy illegal downloading that the music industry often bemoans. According to the report, the move is a bid to help musicians who don’t tour to make money out of the industry by helping them to better monetize their recorded music.
