Amazon has expanded its same day delivery service to six new cities in the US — Baltimore, Dallas, Indianapolis, New York , Philadelphia and the Washington DC metro area. The company’s ‘Get It Today‘ service allows customers to have orders delivered to their door the same day if they are placed before midday. It doesn’t cover all of Amazon’s items, but the company says that over one million products are eligible. The service is already active in LA, Phoenix, San Francisco and Seattle. Members of Amazon Prime — the subscription that bundles a range of offerings, including Amazon’s music and movie streaming services — pay a flat $5.99 fee for same-day orders. Non-Prime customers are charged $9.98 for their first item, and $0.99 for each subsequent addition.
