According to a lawsuit filed in a district court, Microsoft is collecting Windows Phone 7 users’ location data through the camera application. When the app opens for the first time you choose whether or not you’d like your information to be collected, but regardless of your choice, the phone still transmits the data. During similar investigations into Apple and Google, Microsoft told Congress that it does not collect user data unless permitted. Read the full article at InformationWeek.com
