A new bill is being proposed to the U.S. Senate that would stop government officials from being able to obtain user’s location information. Officials can currently seize data from GPS devices including cellphones and tablets without a warrant. If passed, the “GPS Act” would also require companies to receive user consent before using their location information. Read the full article at arstechnica.com
