GOOGLE will green light its YAHOO advertising partnership. The deal, which came to light a few months back, has been held under FCC scutiny as the two competitors compose over 80% of the search business. While the deal is still under investigation, Google has decided that it will move forward.

GOOGLE unveiled its soon to launch Android Application Store. The store is very similar to APPLE’s Application store except that it is open source. The open source agreement means that anyone can register and develop applications.

MICROSOFT will buy GREENFIELD ONLINE for $486 million. The goal is to transform Microsoft’s consumer data sector in order to increase its stable of online services. Greenfield specializes in surveys on people’s preferences and demographics, which could help Microsoft roll out a variety of targeted advertisements.
