FCC To Auction More Spectrum: Yesterday President Obama decided to help you get a handle on your digital life. The government will auction off more wireless spectrum to be used for fixed and mobile broadband connections. What? It means that within a decade or so we will have room to build the kind of wireless broadband infrastructure that our country needs to compete in the information age.
AT&T Completes 3G in NYC: AT&T announced that the upgrade of its 3G network in New York City is now complete. The network, long noted for dropped calls and lackluster service, this upgrade will solve the problem. But … there are now more iPhone users than ever. Will there ever be enough bandwidth for everybody?
Kindle For Android: Amazon made a free Kindle eReader app available to all Android users yesterday. A move that comes months after the app was available for the BlackBerry and the iPhone. Is it too little, too late?
