Malware Hits An All-Time High
McCafee reported that malware has hit an all-time high in the second quarter of 2010. There are a reported 6 million malicious files online, up from 4 million in Q1. USB sticks are the biggest contributors to the increase as well as cyber criminals who used the popularity of the FIFA World Cup to promote scams online.

Droid 2 Coming Thursday
The Droid 2 will be available at Verizon beginning Thursday for $199.99. The Droid 2 features the Android 2.2 operating system, the Flash Player 10.1, and a revised keyboard. For an extra $20 per month, the Droid 2 can act as a mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices.

BlackBerry Ban Called Off in Saudi Arabia?
After threatening to ban messenger service on BlackBerry devices in Saudi Arabia, the smartphone maker, Research In Motion, has agreed to deliver the user data that the government was requesting. BlackBerrys are used by over 700,000 people in Saudi Arabia, making it the largest market for the device in the Gulf region.

Stream More Movies From Netflix
Netflix and Epix, the pay-TV company owned by Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM, have announced an exclusive internet-only deal that will make new releases available to Netflix for streaming 90 days after their release on pay-TV. In the past, the rights have been pre-sold to pay-TV for as long as nine years after a film’s theatrical release.
