HP has finally launched its tablet, the HP Slate, which is geared towards business professionals. Priced at $800, the Slate runs Windows 7 and features an 8.9-inch touchscreen with both front and rear cameras. Texas Goes After Amazon
Amazon.com got hit with a $269 million tax bill from the State of Texas. The bill is for sales tax that Texas believes Amazon should have been collecting from 2005-2009, plus interest and penalties. Amazon stated he tax assessment from Texas is “without merit.”

The Apple & Adobe Feud Heats Up
Steve Jobs dissatisfaction with Adobe’s Flash software, the “buggy battery hog”, is certainly well known. So, it’s no surprise that Apple will no longer pre-install Flash on Mac computers. Macs will continue to support Flash, but users must download the software themselves.

Google Will Enhance Privacy Controls
Google announced it is going to strengthen its privacy controls. The announcement comes after Google revealed it accidentally gathered e-mail address and passwords while collecting data for its Street View service. The company also plans to improve employee training and compliance procedures to better protect users.
