According to the New York Times, the United States government is working to deploy secret communication channels that could aid political dissidents. The technology is reportedly being funded by a $2 million State Department grant that’s being used to create suitcase-sized Internet and mobile phone networks. The telecommunications networks would be used to assist citizens inside of countries that are blocking outside infrastructure. Read the full article at NYTimes.com
