Verizon is offering new customers double the amount of data for the same monthly fee. The limited time offer is valid with the purchase of any Verizon 4G LTE phone. If you were looking to get a 4G phone, Verizon’s special is a hard price to beat. In other news, the U.S. will test its Emergency Alert System nationwide on Wednesday at 2PM. The country’s emergency systems are rather antiquated and haven’t been used on a large scale. In its 50 years of use, this will be the largest test yet. And finally, if you’re a big user of Twitter, you’ll want to download Mozilla’s newest update to its web browser, Firefox 8. The update integrates with Twitter and allows users to search the social network from the navigation bar. Other new features include preventing websites from installing unwanted add-ons.
