Titan, the supercomputer introduced by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL), is on track to be the world’s fastest. At least until the next one comes along. It can handle over 20,000 trillion calculations a second. That’s the equivalent of seven billion people carrying out three million calculations per second.
