Over the past week, you may have noticed Instagram not showing up on Twitter. Well, now they’re gone for good. Twitter disabled the ability to view these photos on its site in hopes that you’d be more likely to use Twitter’s own web interface for photos. But there’s just something about adding filters and tilt-shifts that Twitter’s photo capabilities can’t match. Don’t fret, though, as a Google Chrome extension was released on Monday that re-inserts Instagram’s photos back into your Twitter feed. The extension is called InstaTwit, and it’s free and incredibly simple to use. Go to the Chrome Web Store, which can be found at chrome.google.com/webstore. Search for InstaTwit – half Instagram, half Twitter, all one word. Once you find it, click Add to Chrome. Restart your browser and you should be good to go! There are no extensions currently available for other browsers, but it should only be a matter of time before you can once again view Instagram photos on Twitter in all browsers.
