LG G Pro 2

LG G Pro 2LG on Wednesday took the wraps off of its new G Pro 2 handset in South Korea. It’s a large 5.9-inch “phablet” that borrows some features from last year’s smaller LG G2, while adding some nifty new capabilities like 4K video capture. The G Pro 2 has a 5.9-inch, 1080p IPS display, which works out to a crisp 373 pixels per inch. That’s a good deal larger than last year’s 5.5-inch G Pro, as well as the 5.2-inch G2. It’s thinner than the G Pro, though, and features a new “metal mesh” back panel that looks pretty sharp. As you can see, it borrows the rear button placement from the G2, which I’m not a big fan of. The phone is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of DDR3 RAM. There’s 32GB of storage, which you can supplement with a microSD card slot. And there’s a 13-megapixel camera on the back of the phone with optical image stabilization, as well as a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front.
