Shelly Palmer Radio Report – May 28, 2014

If you’re looking for a cheap way to stay connected to the internet anywhere you are, head over to Walmart. The retail giant recently teamed up with T-Mobile to begin selling two inexpensive tablets that use T-Mobile’s LTE service. Better yet, both tablets are eligible for T-Mobile’s “free data for life” package, which means you’ll get 200 MB of free mobile data every month. Neither tablet that Walmart carries can stack up with the best of the best, but that’s not really the point. Whether you get HP’s new $229 Slate 7 or Apollo’s $179 Trio AXS tablet, you’re getting tablet connectivity on the go without breaking the bank. If you love your device and want to use more data than the 200 MB you’re given, you can add extra data to your tablet’s data plan at T-Mobile’s normal monthly rates. That means you can tack on extra gigabytes of data for $10 a month, or choose from one of the daily, weekly or monthly data plans that T-Mobile offers.
