The World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the known universe. The only thing is Brazil is a long trek for most of us, and, y’know things around the world cup tend to get a bit… rowdy? Well, Google Maps is bringing Street View to all twelve of the stadiums, so you can explore them from the convenience/safety of your own couch. While the up-close-and-personal view of the venues is definitely the highlight here, you’ll also be able to check out the traditional painted streets around the area. Additionally, they’ve added a lot of lovely imagery from other sites around Brazil, including Iguaçu National Park and St. Michael of the Missions. In addition to parading around all this prettiness for those us playing the home game, for folks lucky enough to actually be making the trip, el Google wants to remind you that it has transit information (and turn-by-turn directions) in all twelve host cities, which should be of some comfort.
