Vaccine Passports in the Works

Vaccine Passports in the Works

A digital vaccine passport? That’s the goal of the Vaccine Credential Initiative, a group of big tech firms and big health care organizations that have joined forces to ensure that everyone has access to a secure, digital record of their COVID-19 vaccination. The smartphone or paper records could be used for school vaccination compliance, travel, entering sports arenas, and more.

The big names behind the Vaccine Credential Initiative include Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, Cigna’s Evernorth, the Mayo Clinic, and others. Visit vaccinationcredential.org to learn about the open, interoperable digital standards the group is working on.
