Crypto Schmypmo

Have you been wondering why my writing has been so highly focused on blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFTs, smart contracts, and the world of decentralized finance? Are you thinking, “This really doesn’t apply to me or my business?” Are you saying things like, “Crypto schmypmo?”

Here’s a short video clip from the Today Show in 1994. It will make you laugh out loud. Replace the focus of their “@” sign debate (or the word “internet”) with blockchain or smart contracts or Web 3.0 or DeFi or any other distributed ledger technology jargon you are unfamiliar with. If you think the new technologies empowering decentralized finance do not apply to you or your business, you are (metaphorically speaking) Bryant and Katie in 1994. The good news: you don’t have to be. It’s your choice.

As always, I welcome your thoughts and comments. Just reply to this email. And, yes, my bestselling book Blockchain – Cryptocurrency, NFTs & Smart Contracts: An executive guide to the world of decentralized finance covers the basics.
