CES 2023 Pre-Show News

Greetings from Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas. CES® 2023 begins this week, and Las Vegas is starting to get busy. I walked the show floor (all of it) yesterday afternoon, and you can call it the “New CES.” Sony, Samsung, and the other Japanese, Korean, and Chinese tech giants all have their usual exhibit spaces, but there are new areas for Web3 and the metaverse, transportation and mobility, digital health, sustainability, and human security – an area dedicated to responsible innovation.

While almost every exhibit is still under construction (I can’t show you backstage pix without getting a stern letter from the CTA), the signs “AI-powered” or “using the power of AI” or “(fill in the blank) AI” are everywhere. I’m expecting to see AI-powered everything; it’s the new new thing. I’m making a list of the smartest and silliest uses of AI at the show.

I’ll be posting about CES and doing frequent updates on FB, IG, TW, LI, and TikTok, and we’ll have daily news on shellypalmer.com. If you’re in Las Vegas this week, reach out and LMK what you find interesting. I’m excited about the upcoming Samsung Viewfinity S9 5K monitor as well as the Odyssey Neo G9 57″ curved quantum mini LED gaming monitor. I admit this is a super-geeky thing to be excited about, but consider the source. See you at the show!
