Microsoft Fights App Store Trademark

Microsoft has filed a summary judgment in an attempt to block Apple’s filed trademark on the phrase “App Store.” The judgment argues that the app store has become a term similar to the grocery store or shoe shop. If Apple were to trademark the phrase they could sue anyone using the generic term. Read the full article at PCMag.com
