Tesla MotorsTesla is evaluating “judicial remedies” in response to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s ban on its direct sales in the state, the company’s CEO Elon Musk said in a lengthy blog post on Friday. In the meantime, the company said it will maintain its service centers and convert stores in the Garden State into galleries “where you can see the car and ask questions of our staff.” He added that the Model S can still be purchased at stores in neighboring states or ordered online for delivery in New Jersey. Musk had some fighting words for Gov. Chris Christie: “The rationale given for the regulation change that requires auto companies to sell through dealers is that it ensures ‘consumer protection.’ If you believe this, Gov. Christie has a bridge closure he wants to sell you!”
