MakerBot at Home Depot

MakerBot’s Replicator Mini, the company’s entry-level 3D printer, made its way into select Home Depot stores and at Home Depot’s website on Monday. The rollout is part of a pilot program for MakerBot and Home Depot, and it marks the first time Home Depot has offered 3D printers in its stores.

The select stores (found in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and other parts of California) will feature a 3D Printing and Scanning showcase that encourages Home Depot’s customers to experience first-hand how 3D printing can make their lives (and home upkeep!) easier. Each store will feature trained MakerBot staff to provide demos, create keepsakes and help customers find the right products.
