One of the newest additions to the culinary world aims to make top-notch craft beverages — and not make you wait forever to start drinking them. BKON (pronounced ‘beacon’) recently unveiled a craft brewer that lets chefs, mixologists and baristas create made-to-order craft beverages — like teas, coffees, spirits, and even infused oils — in just 60 to 90 seconds.
Available in commercial use only for now, BKON is working on a home version that should make its way to shelves in the next year or so. Check out the embedded YouTube clip below to see the machine in action:
BKON also announced that Bravo TV’s Top Chef Hugh Acheson has joined the company to serve as its strategic culinary advisor. Acheson will explore menu applications for the product and offer samples of his creations at select locations where the brewer is in operation, including Counter Culture in NYC, American Tea Room in LA, Teavana in Seattle and NY and more.
