Facebook is rolling out a new ad platform that will allow advertisers to turn your status updates into promoted content. If you check-in to a location or like a brand, companies can turn the status into a “sponsored story” ad. Your update will appear in your news feed in addition to the paid ad — and you can’t opt-out.
