Facebook is a “Critical” Driver of Online News Traffic

A recent study from the Pew Research Center shows that Facebook has become a critical traffic source for online news. While Google, the Drudge Report and Yahoo remain the top referrers, Facebook now drives up to 8 percent of traffic to top news sites. The same study shows that Twitter is terrible at driving traffic.
