McAfee announced that a single nation-state has been conducting worldwide cyber attacks over the past five years. A majority of experts believe that the evidence can only point to China. A total of 72 networks were infiltrated including the governments of the United States, India and South Korea. In other news, the cost to organizations due to cybercrime is up 56% from a year ago. The median annual cost rose to $5.9 million with an average of 72 cyberattacks a week. Between detecting and preventing threats to compensating affected consumers, this is quickly becoming a very expensive problem. And finally, Time Inc. recently announced that it’s launching all 21 of its magazines in full digital glory for the iPad. You can expect titles such as Time and People to arrive by the end of 2011. We are only at the beginning of the print format’s evolution into the digital world.
