Walmart unveiled a “disc-to-digital” service that lets you buy online access to movies you’ve already purchased on DVD or Blu-ray.  Starting April 16th you can take your discs to a Walmart and pay $2 to access a standard definition copy of your movie or $5 for an HD version.  If you’ve always wanted to be able to watch any movie you own on any device you own, this is the service for you.  In other news, Yahoo! filed a lawsuit against Facebook for patent infringement.  Yahoo! claims that Facebook is infringing on 10 individual patents. Not surprisingly, Facebook disagrees.  By the way, this is not a new trick for Yahoo!  If you remember, it sued Google in the run up to its IPO, which yielded Yahoo a pretty nice chunk of Google’s pre-IPO shares.  As you know, those share turned into real money. Is Yahoo! trying it again?  You be the judge.
