At 4:30 Wednesday afternoon, President Barack Obama surprised Internet users by popping onto Reddit–a social news site that allows users to vote for what makes the “front page”–to do an “Ask Me Anything,” in which notable people allow Reddit users to ask questions. The White House announced the event at around 4:15, and the site, which boasts nearly 40 million users and is no stranger to high traffic, became slammed and was intermittently up and down. According to Redditcounter, more than 2 million people tried to access the site during the event, which lasted about 45 minutes. Read the full story at US News & World Report.
