Want to make better use of the error pages on your website? You’re in luck. The NotFound Project is working with Missing Children Europe and Child Focus to display photos of missing and exploited children on 404 error pages. The pages also show other details like the date the child went missing, how old the child is now and who to contact if you have any information. Participation is easy – visit notfound.org, register your website, and voila. You’ll be doing your part to spread the word about missing kids in no time. The organizers of the project say that spreading photos is by far the best way to locate children who have gone missing, and what a great way to spread photos to people who might not otherwise see them. The project only focuses on European children right now, but perhaps with some success it will grow. Several big Belgian publishers have already signed on and hopefully there will be more to come.
