Car Crashes Into Chicago Apple Store During Business Hours

AppleA elderly man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the Apple store at 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of West North Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Joshua Purkiss said. One person was taken with minor injuries to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to Fire Media Affairs. In another affront to an Apple store over the weekend, a Cicero man was charged with spray-painting graffiti on the sign of the Michigan Avenue location on Saturday. Joshua Moreno, 18, was charged with criminal defacement of property after a witness said he saw Moreno spraying-paint the sign. He’s also charged with doing damage to a nearby Walgreens and the offices of Golub and Co. Court records show he’s also accused of having a much longer list of victims, including Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. He was held Sunday in lieu of $10,000 bail.
