Kobo Aura HD

Kobo Aura HDHigh-def finally has come to e-readers. Kobo’s new Aura HD features a stunning 6.8-inch 265 PPI (pixels per inch, for the techno-illiterate), the highest resolution screen of any of the major e-readers on the market. Our favorite e-reader, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite, sports a “mere” 212 PPI. The higher resolution should ease eyestrain while burning through those Harry Potter books you finally got around to reading and work well with Kobo’s font adjusting TextGenius feature. Kobo says it created the super-sharp Aura HD for “the world’s most passionate book lovers.” The back of the e-reader is contoured to more nicely fit your hand, and you’ll want that extra bit of ergonomics because Kobo says the Aura HD will last nearly two months on one charge. That’s almost enough time to finish George RR Martin’s A Dance with Dragons.
