Sprint unveiled its first 4G phone yesterday. The Android-powered HTC EVO 4G features a 1GHz processor and an 8 megapixel flash camera with 720p video capability. The real question is whether or not the EVO 4G is powerful enough to pull you away from your BlackBerry or iPhone?

Foursquare is now letting users virtually stalk celebrities. Through a new partnership with MTV and VH1, Foursquare users will be able to track and follow the stars of shows like Jersey Shore, The Hills and the Real World. The new Celebrity Mode will test just how far virtual stalking of a reality star can go in the 21st century.

Legislators are hoping to roll out “fraud-proof Social Security cards” that will act as National ID cards. The “high-tech” identification would be required for anyone who wants to work in the United States. While many are concerned about the information encrypted on the card, Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Lindsay Graham say that “The cards would not contain any private information, medical information or tracking devices. The card would be a high-tech version of the Social Security card that citizens already have.”

Nintendo announced that it will release a new 3D Nintendo DS. While 3D has been all the rage, Nintendo’s offering would be different in that it would not requires gamers to wear 3D glasses. Instead, the 3D virtualization would be inside the game, creating a more friendly, and inviting gaming situation.
