YouTube is Thinking about NFTs

YouTube NFTs may be in the works. YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki suggested the company is looking to branch into NFTs in the future as another source of revenue for creators: “We’re always focused on expanding the YouTube ecosystem to help creators capitalize on emerging technologies, including things like NFTs, while continuing to strengthen and enhance the experiences creators and fans have on YouTube.”

At the dawn of Big Tech, when each company did only one thing, people would ask questions like “Who is going to be Google for video?” or “Who is going to be Netflix for streaming?” The answers were as obvious back then as they are now. “Who is going to be YouTube for Web3?” Three guesses, and the first two don’t count.
