Apple finally announced the iPad 2 at an event where Steve Jobs made his first appearance since taking a medical leave. The new tablet will sport dual-facing cameras, a 33% thinner body than the iPad and dual-core processers make it blazingly fast. You can get your hands on one starting March 11th. In other news, Nintendo is creating a channel for 3-D video content that will feature select shorts and trailers for view on its 3DS gaming device. They are also working with Netflix to bring streaming content to the device via 10,000 AT&T hotspots. The new features are made available in May. And finally, the US Army is charging Private Bradley Manning on 22 counts for leaking classified documents to WikiLeaks. The most severe offence is “aiding the enemy” which can lead to the death penalty. The charge assumes that Manning knew enemies could access the information online.
