I don’t know about you, but I have a ton of music on my computer. And I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of it all. Making playlists is a great way to queue up what you want to hear, but what if you want something more? iTunes has a great feature called Smart Playlists, which are super helpful. They automatically add songs that fit certain criteria to a playlist. Want a holiday playlist without adding songs manually? Create a Smart Playlist of all songs with the genre as “Holiday” or “Christmas” or both. iTunes has dozens of criteria for you to select from, and you can stack one on top of another to fit whatever mood you’re in. No longer will you have to hunt for Doo-Wop songs from 1953 that are shorter than three minutes and that you’ve added in the last three years… just let iTunes do the work!
